APOLOGIES:

I've gone entirely too long between updates, and I apologize.  But you know how LIFE gets in the way.

BASEBALL:

And before we knew it, Baseball season is upon us.

Cameron and Griffin are again participating in Castro Valley Independent Baseball League this year.  This is Cam's fifth year and Griff's fourth.  Unfortunately, they're both on two separate teams again this season.  Due to age restrictions, Cam and Griff probably won't be playing baseball together again unless they both decide to play when they reach high school age.

Cameron is on the B-Division Marlins.  Griffin is returning to the C-Division Phillies.  I'm helping to coach both teams, but decided to take a break from managing either team.  Too much school, work and life in the way.

HOLLISTER UPDATE:

Speaking of life, June is rapidly approaching, bringing with it the two year anniversary of my mom's death.  We've been working hard this winter to empty the house out and prepare it for renting.  Unfortunately, the landscaping hasn't been kind to us at all and we've now lost almost the entire front and side yard landscaping to disease.  The backyard isn't in any better shape and we'll have to dump a lot of assets into cleaning it up and repairing the patio to get renters into the place.

LOVING MATTERS:

Speaking of anniversaries, Katie and I just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary this past week.  We're starting to see that we are novelties amongst our co-workers and friends.  All too many of our aquaintances have succumbed to the pressures that tear relationships apart.  Either we're just oblivious to it, or we smartly realize it would be WAY too much work to forge on alone, but our bond remains strong.  Not that we're perfect, by any means.  But we're working on it.

SNOW JOB:

Perfect does describe the week we just spent in Tahoe skiing with the boys.  Last year was the first we were able to drag the boys to the slopes to learn to ski, and the boys took to it the way they usually do with things... head first!  This year was no different.  We hit the slopes and found they loved skiing in two feet of fresh powder.  So did KT and I, for that matter!

Well, back to work for now.  Midterm in a few days for my Landscape Architecture class and a work retreat in between.  Cheers.
